14 Sep 2016
St. Albans District Chamber of Commerce Community Business Awards 2016 have announced one of our very own founding directors, Dale Swords, as a finalist for Business Leader of the Year 2016!
Dale is up against 4 other finalists for this award which recognises the key role that a business leader plays within their organisation. The emphasis is not only on individual achievement but also that of the organisation the business leader supports, including the vision, culture, performance, corporate governance, leadership and CSR achievements of that organisation.
On 13th October the District’s business people will come together at Sopwell House Hotel for the St Albans District Chamber of Commerce Community Business Awards 2016. These Awards celebrate the outstanding contribution of business to the community of St Albans District.
The Awards are open to all whose business strategy encompasses policies and projects that have a positive impact on St Albans District. The activities should bring about economic, social or environmental benefits for the community.
The Awards will be judged by the St Albans District Chamber of Commerce with the judges for each category including a specialist judge, sponsor and Chamber Director. There is a shortlist of 5 nominees in each category.
Lisa Bates-Wallis (Executive Director, Chamber of Commerce) said “Each year we are so impressed by the calibre of the nominations we receive, organising these community business awards is a great way to discover the many amazing people and businesses we have here in the district. I feel very privileged and honoured to be part of such a dynamic business community. A huge thanks to all of our sponsors and congratulations to all of our finalists and winners, very well deserved”.
We're all rooting for Dale to win this much deserved award!!
