Systems Engineer (DevOps, Medtech)

We are seeking a Systems Engineer, who is keen to work within a DevOps methodology to join team using in house built ML tech to transform the healthcare and medical research industry, based in either Cambridge and Oxford. With the help of their database and world-beating engine, they are committed to saving the lives of those suffering with serious and rare diseases.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be working on maintaining complex systems, building and maintaining CI pipelines for the delivery of the platform, improving automation within the infrastructure environment and ensure scalability, particularly within a mixed AWS and GCP cloud architecture. Your ultimate goal will be to improve the reliability of a complex machine learning based platform and your work will make a genuine difference to medical discovery and health care.

Skills required for the Systems Engineer:

  • Broad knowledge of Linux technologies, preferable Ubuntu
  • Knowledge in a minimum of one scripting language, preferably Python but open to others
  • Exposure to Cloud technologies (AWS or GCP)
  • Broad technical knowledge which could include configuration management, automation or infrastructure as code tooling
