Site Reliability Engineer (Data Unicorn), Fully Remote Indefinitely
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join one the worlds most admired tech teams who have created a database platform used by thousands of Developers in global teams like Microsoft, NASA and Adobe.
This role is fully remote but you must be based in the UK, Germany or Sweden.
The team have become a well known name in the tech community and likely to become a tech 'Unicorn' over the next 24 months, with tens of thousands of Stackoverflow questions and GitHub commits and after a massive recent funding round from some of the best known tech focussed VCs (think Twitter, Dropbox, Spotify backers) are now growing their Full Stack Team.
You will be responsible for the reliability, resilience and scalability of a new cloud based 'DBaaS' product built in a containerised Kubernetes environment, cloud native within GCP and being used by some of the most interesting tech teams in the world. You will have the opportunity to improve both tooling and importantly reliability process and methods to improve the engineering group as a whole.
We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer with;
- Container knowledge, preferably using Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience within cloud environments, either GCP or AWS
- Scripting or development experience with Python or Golang would be highly beneficial
- This role may suit those from DevOps, SRE or wider Ops and Engineering backgrounds
