Site Reliability Engineer (Cloud Data Science), £100,000 - £150,000, remote flex

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join a Series D funded team at the centre of data science innovation, helping global teams to further medical discovery, improve autonomous vehicle tech all the way through to improving music recommendation engines.

The team provide a platform helping to automate data science, giving Data Scientists a custom built and scalable cloud and ops environment, so they can focus on their own work, rather than building out new environments for individual models and projects.

As the Site Reliability Engineer you will be at the heart of European customer success. You will work remotely with customers, ensuring the reliability of the platform with pro-active fixes and monitoring, alongside dealing with complex platform issues, minimising downtime when these occur.

Skills:

  • Superb technical knowledge which will include expertise in Linux environments, exposure to cloud technologies and deployments (AWS, GCP or Azure) and experience of container tooling (Kubernetes or Docker)
  • Scripting or development experience, preferably in Python but flexible
  • An ability and willingness to work in a remote, customer facing role
  • A background in data science, or working closely with data science team, would be beneficial but not essential

Salary: £100,000 - £150,000 plus equity and benefits

Location: London head office with the flexibility to be largely remote. No travel required!

Why this role?

You will have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds in data science and with some of the best known and most advanced companies globally, some genuinely changing the world in what they do, helping them leverage data science in more productive ways.

This role differs slightly to most SRE positions working with internal teams. You will perform very similar tasks, but do so with a variety of clients using the platform in different environments and with different challenges.
