Service Desk Manager

A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Desk Manager who is confident in delivering a comprehensive end user device management service for a local governing body. The role is on a permanent basis, based at their Brixton London office, however they do offer hybrid working. Working for this organisation you will be reporting into the Head of Platform and Infrastructure and be the focal point in the Technology department for all device management responsibilities. It is vital that you have experience of managing and mentoring a team of technicians where you can drive the high standards expected of employees to provide support to the wider organisation. The successful candidate must have experience of vendor technology roadmaps as well as management and configuration of device operating systems.

As the Service Desk Manager you will be responsible for the design, build, implementation and routine maintenance of end user devices and packaging of applications. You will have experience in managing a wide variety of stakeholders as you will be frequently dealing with non-technical colleagues. Your team will resolve all reported incidents and problems in accordance with agreed service levels as well as managing the implementation of approved changes. It is essential you have strong leadership experience, ideally managing a team of technicians. Skills required for the Service Desk Manager are:

- Proven Device Management experience aligned to an end user customer service
- Management experience of a team of 4+ technicians
- Vendor technology experience, ideally with knowledge of the Microsoft product family and mobile device management
- Effective communicator both verbally and written
