Service Desk Engineer
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Service Desk Engineer to join a successful and growing outsourced IT support company based in Cambridge. As the successful Service Desk Engineer you will be responsible for providing excellent customer support to a wide range of external clients via email phone or in person for a vast range of incidents and service requests.
The Service Desk Engineer will be required to work with on wide variety of client, dependent technical projects such as hardware rollouts of laptops, desktops and servers. You will also be expected to work with tech such as; Office365, Active Directory, Azure, VMware, vSphere, SharePoint, Mimecast, Veeam, AvePoint, and DFSR.
The ideal candidate will be confident working directly with clients, will demonstrate excellent levels of customer service, show ambition as well as being approachable and hard working.
Key skills needed for the Service Desk Engineer:
- Hands on experience resolving hardware and software issues for external clients and users.
- Strong understanding of Office365, Azure, and virtualisation software such as VMware or vSphere.
- Knowledge and experience of Active Directory administration tools.
- A passion for technology, with ambition to learn new skills and progress your career.
- Excellent communicational skills.
