Linux Platform Engineer

We are seeking a Linux Platform Engineer at a FTSE 100 tech group running one of the most complex infrastructure environments in the UK which is the backbone of their AI driven automation technologies now being implemented in some of the worlds largest and best-known retailers.

As the Platform Engineer you will join at a time of hyper-growth after a hugely successful 18 months for a team now becoming a household name.

The Platform Engineer will be responsible for building the internal Linux-based infrastructure that powers the global network of robotics automated warehouse technology. You will deploy and manage hundreds of Linux based devices (Ubuntu environment) using modern Ops tooling including Puppet, automation through Python and be exposed to a large container environment.

Skills required for the Linux Platform Engineer:

• Strong working knowledge of Linux (Preferably Ubuntu)
• In depth scripting knowledge (Python, Shell)
• Broad technical knowledge of automated build and configuration tooling including Puppet

Salary: Up To £63,000 with Private Health and Pension
