Lead React Developer - Fintech Start-up, £120k

Superb opportunity to join incredibly successful fintech start-up, who have seen record trading days in 2020 and continue to go from strength to strength.

Operating a core trading platform with direct connectivity to all major banks, the product has a sophisticated frontend trading user interface that sees an incredibly high volume of real-time activity.

Built with React, RxJS, ES6/7 and OpenFin, the UI has an extensive roadmap of new features needed to be executed.

The role initially is hands-on, leading a team of five Engineers building out this key new functionality.

You'll get to take significant ownership of the front end of the platform and will be instrumental in the high-level decision making - architectural direction and technology selection. You'll get to heavily build out the team in 2021 and then start to move more hands-off coding wise.

As Lead Engineer you will be expected to coordinate development and product teams, mentor and train the other mid-level developers, drive stand-ups, retros and best practice. Pair programming, TDD and CI are standard.

Recent hands-on experience building large, complex SPAs in a scalable framework, ideally React is critical. You'll be comfortable leading and managing a team, driving from the front. Experience in hiring will be extremely useful. Fintech, Trading experience will be extremely helpful.

Salary is up to £120k with high bonus 30%+, plus personal training budget.

Please note - we would prefer some office working next year, so some time in the office will be needed.
