Junior Java Engineer - Financial Trading

Location: Central London. Hybrid working policy. 2-3 days in office p/week

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + bonus + benefits

A Central London Financial Services company, who are a disrupting the FX space by creating a trading platform connecting major banks, are looking for a Junior Java Engineer to join them on their mission to build an industry leading, high-available platform that consumes over 5 billion messages every day.

They are looking for a Junior Java Engineer (Financial Trading) with the following:

• Computer Science (or similar) degree from a top university
• Junior-level Java development experience
• Keen to work on smaller projects with Rust, Golang and Kotlin (previous experience not necessary)
• An advocate for modern methodologies including TDD and CD

Tech: Java, Multithreading, Distributed Systems, Docker, Kubernetes, TDD, CI/CD, Agile

The role will suit a Junior Java Engineer who is keen to get into the trading industry and who has a strong enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced, financial environment. You will be working in a team where there is a strong ethos of using the right tool for the right job - alongside Java as the main programming language, you will also be able to learn and work with Rust, Golang, Kotlin and more modern technologies within a DevOps environment.

Relevant training is offered to the Junior Java Engineer if you come from a non-financial background.
