IT Support Engineer

Start date: ASAP
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days a week)

Salary Range: £25-£30k

This role will provide support to the clients user base with proactive, friendly and responsive support, 1st time fixes and effective triage & escalation of technical requests (This can be in person, on the telephone or via remote support).

The IT Support Engineer will respond to IT tickets promptly and investigate complex issues with the outsourced IT supplier and report these to the team. You will create knowledge base articles and help guides for new starters and also provide full laptop set up.

The IT Support Engineer must have good knowledge of new and upcoming technologies, be able to identify and work closely with third party providers and ensure the clients systems capability is able to operate effectively at all times.

Experience Required

  • Desktop PC (troubleshooting, upgrades, software installation, backup, remote support).
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office.
  • Basic networking skills (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, LAN, WAN, VPN).
  • Basic server skills (Windows 2012 R2, Windows 2016).
  • Smartphones and tablets mobile device management.
  • Active Directory User administration.
  • Printer troubleshooting.
  • Experience of anti-virus software in a business environment.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both face to face and telephone.
