Head of People Data/Systems | 6 Month Contract | £500+ Per Day | Inside IR35 | Remote

Understanding Recruitment are currently working in partnership with one of the biggest UK based software providers in the recruitment of a Head of People Data and Systems to join the business on an initial 6-month, fully remote contract.

As a Head of People Data/Systems, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating creating our people related data & systems plan. You will use people related data & systems plan & roadmap, PeopleXD international capability and Compensation planning system RFP.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Work with CIDO, HR team, Access People & Product Development to develop the People data and systems 5-year plan, roadmap and FY23 (July 22-June 23) agreed priorities.
  • Scope and project plan phase 2 of Access PeopleXD internal rollout (including international capability) and create a full integration plan with other critical people capability (ESP, Path to Great and Applause).
  • Provide data & systems expertise into the compensation planning RFP, selection process and implementation plan. Selection to be made by end Sept with tool fully rolled out by end December 2022 latest. Pay planning run during Feb-April 2023.


  • Experienced architectural thinking, in creating an integrated systems & data plan, so can quickly make sense of what we need to do and can hit the ground running in executing the plan.
  • A background in supporting a People/HR related business would be a distinct advantage.
  • Pragmatic and commercial, making the complex appear simple (translating techy speak into everyday language) and demonstrating return on investment.
  • Track record of working with critical others at an enterprise scale, to understand what we need and ensure a smooth handover to those who will take the plan forward.
