DevOps Engineer (IOPS process)

We are looking for a number of DevOps Engineers with an interest in resiliency and reliability improvement to join an enterprise level tech group who compete with the likes of Microsoft and Mimecast building cloud storage tech at massive scale.

The team have grown their UK tech group to over one hundred people since opening last year (as part of a large global tech group) and are building out a large and varied DevOps and Reliability Engineering group, which for these positions will be focussed on deploying systems to production, monitoring resilience and improving reliability in a complex Linux based, private cloud environment utilising Kubernetes heavily built on bare metal.

This is a complex infrastructure environment with the team looking for absolute control of speed and resilience, following an 'IOPS' method. They work in a private cloud, with lots of containerisation and bare metal and are would like to speak to those interested in this type of environment rather than public cloud.

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with:

  • A background in Linux systems engineering and particularly bare metal environments would be ideal
  • Any exposure to distributed databases would be beneficial
  • A broad knowledge of DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering and systems tooling which could include Kubernetes/OpenShift, Ansible, Terraform, CI or monitoring tools
