DevOps Engineer, Container Platforms

We are seeking a senior or lead level DevOps Engineer to join a well known payment technologies group working with countries globally to transform online transactions and speed, banking connectivity at nationwide scale and help fight digital monetary fraud and money laundering.

The team are growing their UK DevOps team (currently around 40 people) as they expand their products globally, with a particular focus on financial crime and anti-money laundering, improving speed of digital payments and connecting traditional banks through online transactions in countries across the Middle East and Asia.

The role is 'container heavy', as they are using Kubernetes to containerise many of their payment platforms, both in multi-cloud environments (primarily AWS and Azure) and on-prem, whilst improving deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code as the majority of their clients transform to cloud ops. Whilst 'pre-canned' cloud container tools (EKS) are used, the team are building Kubernetes platforms from the ground up.

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with;

  • Strong production Kubernetes experience, preferably in both cloud and on-prem/bare metal environments
  • Experience of either Azure or AWS, preferably Azure
  • Broad technical knowledge which could include a background in Linux engineering, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI tooling

Salary:
£90,000 - £95,000 plus bonus, superb pension (with large contributions) and private health

Location: London (City) base, but very flexible remote working post-Covid (currently fully remote)
