2nd Line Application Support Engineer

A new and exciting opportunity has come up for an Application Support Engineer (English and French speaking) to join a global SaaS (Software as a Service) company as they embark upon their journey into the UK market with brand new offices in London! They are renowned for providing bespoke and pioneering software solutions for the retail market and therefore need a talented Application Support Engineer on board to provide first class technical support to their customers.

The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for managing a large volume of tickets in a time critical environment and collaborate closely with colleagues to escalate support issues as and when appropriate. Your responsibilities will include discovering, analysing and resolving bugs in software, configuring systems, overseeing the successful rollouts of new software, ensuring positive integrations with end user systems and providing general technical assistance. As the Application Support Engineer you should be able to work well under your own initiative and have a proactive attitude to work.

Key skills needed for the Application Support Engineer role:

  • English and French speaking.
  • Previous experience in a 2nd Line / Application Support role.
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS based software solutions.
  • Hands on experience with retail software or systems is highly beneficial.
  • Degree educated with a background in Computer Science (or similar) is ideal.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
